Using the quadratic equation, number out the 2 equations and find out x or y first in my solution, i find x first and than substitute x=4 into equation 2 to find y.

You can either substitute the y in the first equation and make it -4x+x+2, or you could make the first equation equal to 4x-10 (y=4x-10, move the -4x) then you could solve, and since you have two values of y so they’re both the same. This is how it would look like:
X+2=4X-10
