A recipe that makes 4 dozen cookies calls for 2 eggs. Using this same recipe, how many dozens of cookies can be made with 7 eggs?

14 dozen cookies can be made with 7 eggs

Step-by-step explanation:

I first saw that 2 goes into 7 three times (2*3= 6 eggs).

then I multiplied 4 dozen also by 3 to get 144 cookies (12 dozen).

since there was still one egg left I divided the 4 by a half and got 2 dozen.

2 dozen + 12 dozen = 14 dozen (168 cookies)
