Solving these equations by elimination method : x = 6  , y = 2

Important Information : Equations 2x + 3y = 18 (i)  , 3x - 3y = 12 (ii)

Solving equation i) & ii) by elimination method :

2x + 3y = 18

3x - 3y = 12

5x = 0 +  30

5x = 30

x = 30 / 5

x = 6

Putting value of x in equation i), we get

2 (6) + 3y = 18

12 + 3y = 18

3y = 18 - 12 = 6

y = 6/3

y = 2
